CHARLADY PLATFORM TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Charlady, a digital platform operated by Morggy Technologies that connects households with independent domestic workers.

By accessing or using the Charlady website, services, or platform, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1 Platform Overview

Charlady provides an online marketplace where domestic workers and employers can connect for potential work opportunities.

Charlady does not employ workers, provide domestic services, or act as an employment agency. The platform only facilitates introductions between users.

2 Eligibility

To use the Charlady platform, users must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate identification and contact information
  • Comply with all applicable laws in Kenya

Charlady reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these requirements.

3 User Accounts

Users may create accounts as: Domestic Workers or Employers.

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and all activities occurring under their accounts.

4 Worker Verification

Charlady may conduct identity verification and background checks before issuing verification badges.

Verification indicates that certain information has been reviewed but does not guarantee worker behavior, performance, or reliability.

5 Employer Responsibilities

Employers agree to:

  • Provide accurate job descriptions
  • Treat workers respectfully and fairly
  • Provide safe working environments
  • Pay workers according to agreed terms

Charlady is not responsible for wage payments or employment contracts between employers and workers.

6 Platform Fees

Charlady may charge fees for: Worker verification, Membership access, or Platform services.

Fees will be clearly communicated before payment and may change over time.

7 Prohibited Conduct

Users must not provide false information, engage in harassment, request illegal services, or use the platform for fraud or exploitation.

Violations may result in account suspension or permanent removal.

8 Disputes Between Users

Charlady is not responsible for disputes between employers and workers. Users are encouraged to resolve disputes directly.

9 Limitation of Liability

Charlady provides services “as is” without guarantees. The platform shall not be liable for employment disputes, loss of income, worker performance issues, or damages arising from platform use.

10 Account Termination

Charlady reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for policy violations, fraudulent activity, or abusive conduct.

11 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or legal proceedings within Kenya.

12 Changes to Terms

Charlady may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of updated terms.
